The game at Back Lane between Unicorn and Brewers saw the Premier League outfit comfortably through to the next round. Unicorn, without a win of any kind this season fought hard to turn their fortunes around and at halftime were level at 1-1 but in the second half Brewers began to turn the S***W and outscored their hosts by three goals to one. Centre half Nick Ward got his first goal of the season and there were further goals from Lee Johnson, Joel Hunter and a sublime finish by Jamie Madden. Unicorn’s goals came from Chris Kelly and Jez Shepherd.

Brewers man of the match Lee Johnston should have bagged more goals but for the woodwork and some impressive goalkeeping by the Unicorn number one.

The dismissal of Brewers manager Damien Druce (improper conduct) and Unicorn player-manger Mark Mellor (serious foul play) marred a spirited game of amateur football.
