Sun 22 Mar 2009  League
Brewers FC 0
Vale 4

Brewers season is slowly disintegrating. Barely three weeks ago they were top of the league and still in the Macc & District Sunday Cup . Now they find themselves second and out of the cup. The main culprits are Vale from Back Lane , Congleton who have now beaten them in back to back fixtures.

Admittedly they were without top scorer Jake McGarry and strike partner Jamie Madden but nevertheless this was a surprise defeat. Sam Pilley, normally a centre half had the onorous task of leading the line but he was no substitute for McGarry and Vale took full advantage . 3-0 up by half time they even managed the luxury of missing a penalty to run out comfortable 4-0 winners . David Holmes , Chris Ogden and Tom Burgess with two were all on target.
