For the first time in a number of seasons the Premier Division is extremely tight which makes the result at Bollington Cross the days most surprising. Brewers who were bottom of the league at the start of play overwhelmed third placed Macc Boys Seniors scoring six first half goals that scuppered any chance of a second half come back from the home side. On a pudding of a pitch Brewers were much more fired up than their hosts relishing the conditions and took full advantage scoring four times in the first twenty minutes. Brewers manager Damien Druce took a gamble midweek on deciding to bring back maverick striker Jake McGarry but boy did it work with McGarry scoring five times and assisting twice, the question is can he continue to harness McGarry’s undoubted talent? However, with a large pool of quality players to chose from Druce has plenty of options at his disposal. One of them is Jamie Madden who was also in scintillating form scoring one and assisting on no less than five occasions, also on target today was Lee Johnson (2) and Martin Firth (1).
