Brewers kicked off the new season at home to AC Bollan in what turned out to be a very tight game.
The home team started brightly getting the ball on the ground and moving it round quickly with Bollan effectively chasing the game. In the first half both defences played exceptionally well cutting out more or less every attacking effort and sending the teams in level with no goals scored.
The second period was more open as both teams were eager to score but it wasn't until the 80th minute that there was a breakthrough when Bollan took the lead through a well worked move down the left with Andy Davies finishing the move with a well placed, powerful header. Brewers were wounded but showed great grit and determination and pushed the game looking for an equaliser. A Jordan Hitchen corner on 85 was met with a great header from man of the match Matt Delargy to make it 1-1.
The home side tried for a winner but were thwarted by Bolan and the game ended with a point for each team.
